Moldova

If you like wine and lots of it, my research indicates that you should pay a trip to Moldova. They have a wine cellar called Mileștii Mici, mici means small. I strongly expect the powers that be were very very VERY drunk when they chose the name, because their "small" wine cellar extends to 120 miles. Apparently only (only!!!) 55 miles are currently being used for wine storage. Seriously, wtf, that's massive it must be some sort of record. It is. The Moldovans hold the Guiness world record for the largest collection in the world.

Moldova used to be part of Romania and Romanian is still spoken there.  It is therefore no big surprise that a lot of the cuisine is shared, I couldn’t find a single Moldovan dish that he hadn’t tried before, but he wasn’t complaining and neither was I after I tasted what we cooked this week.  Yum.
