Like most of the world I love pasta. I had coveted a pasta machine for years but always made excuses for not buying one, I would never use it, it would just take up room and become a dust magnet. Then when I was in Cosmin's home town of Tasnad in Transylvania walking back to his parent's flat after a coffee I saw in the window of the tiniest shop imaginable, sat next to plastic dolls and suitcases a pasta machine. The owner of the shop couldn't have been more surprised when I went in and brought it, it had been in their window display for over ten years and it cost me little more than £15. When I got back to London I quickly set about putting my little machine to work. I went completely over the top, our freezer was full of tortellini and ravioli of all colours and flavours, we had pasta coming out of our ears and I made back the money spent on the machine within two and a half weeks. I have since upgraded my machine to a motorized Imperia, but I will never ever throw pasta machine mach 1 away, it served me well and will be used again. Making your own pasta is easy and it tastes a billion times better than shop bought pasta. Go on, give it a go...
